Presente Simple

THE PRESENT            
 PROGRESSIVE TENSE

We form the present progressive using the verb to be and a verb ending in “ing” :

•N/P + V TO BE + V ING + 

COMPLEMENT

•Examples: Affirmative Form

•1.- She is working in the office

•2.- I am studying English Working

•3.- They are playing soccer

•4.- We are sleeping in the sofa

•5.- Betty is cleaning the house

•N/ P + V TO BE + NOT + V 

ING + COMPL.

•1.- Peter is not playing soccer

•2.- The teacher is  not

writing a letter

The Verbo To Be

It means Ser ó Estar, and has  three forms : AM / IS / ARE. Remember  the Personal Pronouns:

I   yo         YOU  tú       HE  él

SHE  ella    IT   esto (neutro)

WE  nosotr.  YOU uds. THEY ellos

AFFIRMATIVE FORM

N/P + VERB  +  COMPLEMENT 1.- She is a girl

2.- Peter is a policeman

3.- You are in class

4.- We are happy

5.- They are intelligent boys

NEGATIVE FORM

N/P + VERB + NOT + COMPLEM.

 1.- She is not a girl

2.- Peter is not a policeman

3.- You are not in class

4.- We are not happy

5.- They are not intelligent boys

INTERROGATIVE FORM

VERB + N/P  + COMPLEMENT

1.- Is She a girl  ?

2.- Is  Peter a policeman ?

3.- Are You  in class ?

4.- Are We  happy ?

5.- Are They intelligent boys ?

RECUERDA : También podemos  usar el Verbo en   contracciones  así :

He is not             He isn´t

I am not              I´m not

You are not          You aren´t

NO OLVIDES :Que el Verbo TO BE  es la base de la gramática inglesa.

Personal Pronouns

Los pronombres en inglés pueden clasificarse en: personales (o nominales), acusativos, indefinidos, posesivos, relativos y recíprocos. Los pronombres son palabras que señalan o sustituyen a otras que normalmente ya se han nombrado.En esta ocacion hablaremos acerca de los pronombres personales.

Los pronombres personales en inglés son también conocidos como pronombres personales sujetos o nominales. Son aquellos que refieren a las personas gramaticales. Son: I, you, he, she, it, we, you, they. Aquí encontrarás ejemplos traducidos al español.

I (ái) - yo 
you (iú) - tú / usted

it (it) - él /ello / ella (objeto)
